1926. VARNEY AIR LINES. Unused regular-size post card on quality pebbled stock showing its Curtiss Swallow in flight carrying US air mail, signed Roy Anderson art copyrighted 1973, excellent condition. Varney was the predecessor to United Airlines, and participated in the very beginnings (April 1926, the Pasco-Boise-Elko route) of commercial air transportation in the US. $7.50 ah-u% "Die Oberlandler / bei der Fahnenweihe in München 1923" real photo souvenir card showing a parade with participants wearing Nazi armbands, Sammelwerk Nr. 8: Deutschland erwacht ..." Bild Nr. 14 Gruppe 28, no postcard back, much pertinent information on back. This march occurred during the failed attempt of Nazis to revolt on Friday morning, November 9 1923, in the Bavarian capital. Many then- and later-famous people participated in this March, and several faces can easily be made out by the student. The march was on their Defence Ministry, and both Hitler and Goring themselves were injured when they arrived there. The flag that they carried (shown in the photo) was shortly to be stained with blood, and became reverentially known as the Blutfahne. $50.00 nbhfp& NEW / NEU / NOU

The Oklahoma was salvaged and scrapped..." including aircraft in the aftermath of the bombing, chrome post card, near mint condition.
