Clear Sep 4 1908 Bickleton hand cancel ties 1-c Franklin franking postcard to Glenwood, complete Roosevelt Doane 1 transit mark is a bit lighter, browning paper, view side with art depicting a bear chasing a hunter with caption "I am / ahead / of / the / game / so / far", corner creases miss everything important on either side. This Roosevelt post office is in Klickitat County, where it opened in 1906. $6.00 w-bh

Two of the most memorable real photo post cards you will ever see. A group of hunters gathered around a large snake with distended stomach, which has been shot. Next, the cut-open snake reveals its partially digested prey--a small deer. Both are unused with good edges & good contrast, one has a small smudge on the back. Small & unimportant marks on the photos are hard to explain; slight paper curl.
