Items costing $5.00 or less
will not be scanned;
instead, please ask questions about them
and we will try to answer quickly by e-mail.
This is the only way we can keep these prices low.
(Many auction houses and mail order dealers
do not supply scans, faxes, or photocopies
unless an item is at least $50.00 in value.)
Scan requests that specify
unusual formats
that we do not use in our business
will not be honored. We supply .jpg thumbnails,
like those used to illustrate our webpages, by e-mail
or we simply post them to the website.
Often we are also able to supply .tif format images.
We do not send faxes of any such images.
Rush request for scans will
not be honored.
For reasons of efficiency, we scan in batches,
usually once or twice a week. This means
you may have to wait a few days for your scans.
During that waiting time the items can be sold
to others who do not require scans.
Insincere or rude requests for
scans will not
be honored under any circumstances. For example,
people who have asked us for scans before but
have not placed an order fall into this category.
Requests for scans of all or
most of the items in a wholesale lot will not be honored. Wholesale lots can
only be offered at reduced prices when our time and
effort to describe them are held to a minimum. If a
wholesale lot is not already accompanied by a scan,
then we will scan 1 or 2 typical items for you.
Anonymous requests for scans
will not be honored.
To avoid this difficulty, simply use your full name
when you e-mail us.
When we scan an item, we scan
that side or portion
which we judge to be of greatest interest
to our prospective customers. Multiple scans
of the same item are not usually done
unless an item is of exceptionally high value.
Please do not ask us to scan
items
that would violate copyrights held by others.
Please do not ask us to scan
items
that contain racial epithets, vulgar language, or nudity.
If the unusual structure (such
as with delicate foldouts)
or condition of an item might be altered by scanning,
then we will not chance damaging the item.
Many items have similar
captions or descriptions.
So please specify the item that you want scanned by
quoting its full current listing. [Use the Cut and Paste
commands provided by your browser and e-mail
software to avoid a lot of typing.]
