The other side had: airmail etiquette, fancy violet return address of 'THE UNITED TOB' in Chinese, boxed green "PAR AVION de Macau à S Francisco" over which is the handwritten "P.A.A.' (Pan Am Airways), typed address, handwritten weight of '7 1/2 gs', and another 5-avos stamp neatly cancelled & tied. Back strip of 70-avos has a boldly struck Guatemalan violet carrier 'CARTERO 11 GUATEMALA' encircled. Top of envelope has wrinkling & small dings (one removed about 5% of the upper edge of the dial), also wrinkling at both side edges--leads us to speculate that the damage was noted by the postal authorities rather than the addressee company. In any event, one of Missouri's scarcest DPO cancels. $50.00 mm(d)

"Can I Put My / Little [shoes drawn] In / Your Trunk" leather postcard mailed MAR 13 1907 at Emmett Kansas (splendid Doane 1 cancel) to Miss Flossie Johnson in Saint Mary Kansas, hand-colored / tinted. internal crease. The 1 in the killer bars of the cancel tells us that their post office (established in November 1905) did about $100.00 worth of business in 1906.
