GLENFORSA (STRATHCLAIR DISTRICT). "At Glenforsa / Man. // Hirst / Photo / 1911" showing a Canadian Northern caboose (displaying antlers at its back) with 6 workers along side (one the sender); sepia-tone real photo post card mailed 1911 at Elphinstone Manitoba to Indiana, upper corner badly weakened by small crack, back toned unevenly, light toning in the front sky, oxidation consistent with age. Glenforsa is the former Strathclair Station; its name changed again to Strathclair in 1915. $40.00 mg(c)c(l)

"Published by Russell, Lang & Co., Winnipeg, Man. 156 / Lower Fort Garry, near Winnipeg, Man." black & white view in embossed frame flanked by crest & flags in color, postcard mailed at Morden 1905 to New Brunswick but stamp damaged by clumsy removal attempt, internal crease, 3 corner creases (one multiply), corner wear & rounding, light toning on front, light toning on back, as is. $1.75 m
NEJANILINI LAKE. NUNASI NORTHLAND. Unused regular-size post card showing its Douglas DC-3C (C-FGHL) at Thompson Manitoba in the summer of 1988, printed in Thailand, slight indent at top edge can only be seen from the back, otherwise fresh. On May 17 1986, while operating for Nunasi Central Airlines, this aircraft fell through ice on Nejanilini Lake Manitoba, without fatalities. $8.50 am

"PHONE MAIN 203 213-215 FRANKLIN STREET // Drive Yourself / Co. // RENT A FORD AND DRIVE IT YOURSELF // SPECIAL RATES FOR FIRMS, SALESMEN, / DOCTORS AND HUNTING TRIPS // Peoria, Illinois" illustrated business card quoting detailed rates for sedans and coupes, mileage charges, minimum rental, insurance charges, etc. This company was advertised briefly (3 times) 1925 to 1926 in the Winnipeg Manitoba Free Press, but we have never seen anything else that hinted they had tried to make it in the US. Truly a rare piece of rental automotive history that is destined for a museum. $17.50 imaa
