"VR2AM / FIJI / MOBILE MARINE" QSL card used 1947 by operator Thor Gundersen in the Marine Department of C. S. R. Co. Ltd. (Piermont Australia) on the s/s Tambua, about to take leave in New Zealand; 4 tape remnants on back (1 causing thin from removal attempt), pinhole & adjacent scrape near front center. At the time his QSO was 'S.W. of Fiji'. During World War II this ship served under requisition as a supply ship -- visiting Noumea New Caledonia in 1941, for example. Definitely rare; the Australian National University has but a few items from the ship in its collection, and that is all we could find. $7.00 fas(m)n
