"Public Library, Canal Cover(sic), Ohio" with Dover misspelled as shown in caption, unused postcard showing the exterior, made in Germany & published by J. Stuhlmiller, several small spots of toning on the back, tiny scrape at bottom front edge. This facility was replaced by the modern, more capacious building which the town enjoys today. Prominent near the left is the entire front of the Jesse Spira Clothing store, next to a grocery. An interview published by the Columbus Jewish Historical Society puts the Spira's as the only Jewish family in Centerburg at the time, with the nature of their business uncertain. This postcard provides the answer.
