Exceptionally interesting insight into Scout gear & pricing at the time. Citing just a few things: Explorer wallets, official flashlights, trail chef cook kit, official sheath knives, Scout wool socks, official zipper duffel bag, glass bow archery set, model train kits, whittling kits, etc. Nice! $12.50

"'STATUE OF LIBERTY' / In War Vets Park, Olean, N. Y. / Dedicated to Boy Scouts of America 84" real photo postcard published by M. E. Bramlee, mailed there 1954, toned back, 3 corners with small creases, small brown spot of toning in right front border. Focus is just a little fuzzy but most of the inscription can be read. Kansas City Scouting Commissioner Jack P. Whitaker got the idea of bringing Statue of Liberty replicas to many American cities & aid in fundraising efforts. Their 1949 to 1951 Strengthen the Arm of Liberty Campaign resulted in 120 communities having one--including Olean, Utica, Schenectady, Oneonta, Niagara Falls & LeRoy in New York State.
