NORDDEUTSCHER
LLOYD BREMEN 1900 VOYAGE--POSTCARDS & MEMORABILIA
The following lists Kaiser Wilhelm der
Grosse material we have had for sale. All postcards are in color,
artist-drawn, with Norddeutscher Lloyd Bremen printed in fancy lettering.
Passenger list shown at left is a booklet (about 8.1x7.2 when opened out to
display cover art) for Bremen-New York, sailing 21 August 1900. One list page has a
crease, and a couple of others have toning spots--but nothing serious. Full-color
cover art shows a large angel in flight, the ship, coat of arms, the siegessaule in
Berlin... First- and second-class passengers, and officers listed alphabetically.
Large concert programme (roughly 8.5 x
11) for 21 August 1900 with dinner menu in 2 pages on the back, folded as
intended. Dinner menu bearing a black-and-white illustration on each page.
Beautiful cover with young lady in flowing robe, hand on globe, sea at sunset in
background--begging to be framed. A cupid in black-and-white adorns the concert
programme.

Large concert programme (roughly 8.5 x 11) for 23 August 1900 with dinner menu
in 2 pages on the back, folded as intended, dinner menu bearing a black-and-white
illustration on each page. Full-color cover art shows three mermaids waiving flag as
ship passes by near coast, marred unfortunately by some brownish near-linear spots near
the left edge in the water & sky. Concert page shows black-and-white of small
child conducting 4 birds singing on a bough. Black-and-white illustrations are on
both dinner menu pages.

arms, etc. in a fancy frame around bow view of ship under way. A girl in flowers
decorates the concert programme.

Gorgeous art over one side showing Emperor, woman with flag in a chariot pulled by 4
horses, and, of course, the ship.
Another dinner menu for 27 August 1900, in English, with a concert programme on the
back. Some fancy lettering, but lacking an illustration either side.
Programme for concert in aid of the Seamans Fund, Monday, August 27th, 1900 at 9
PM. Slightly larger than a continental postcard. Color side has tug pulling
the ship alongside dock.
